1958-59 elections? Source: "there were two main parties- the Tanganyika African National Union (TANU), under the leadership of Mr. Julius Nyerere, and the United Tanganyika Party. TANU and the candidates it backed swept the board by winning all the African seats and the majority of Asian and European seats" from: Wykes, Alan (1961).
