Status and rationale
I have submitted this article to AFC because I believe it is currently roughly
Start status, or perhaps a larger stub status article. Ideally I would get this to C class before submission or review, but in this case I worry that as a layperson I do not have the adequate background to expand the article much further beyond its current state while keeping content accurate, using terminology correctly, etc. However I am fairly confident I can get the basic facts right. I hope that, if this current draft is good enough for a mainline article, that it can be more visible to someone with greater expertise for improvement. The reason I chose to pursue making this article at all is that it was redlinked on
List of landmark court decisions in the United States, and as a landmark US Supreme Court decision, seemed to be notable enough topic for an article. --
