We have to put in party designations. Color-blind readers can't necessarily see them. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Formatting issues. Color can be left in, but we need to have also the (D) and (R) for the parties.— Mark Adler (markles) 20:58, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

It is not clear what are the differences between Class 1 Senators and Class 2 Senators. Would someone place a definition. I would if I knew. I suspect it refers to junior and senior senators, but am not certain. Thanks. Skywriter 17:20, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
