Information about this command seems very hard to come by. The only evidence for its existence that I could find were from two USAF bios. The US Taiwan Defense Command existed as a sub-unified command under the [1] United States Pacific Command. I was assigned there during 1973-1974, and it is indeed quite difficult finding any information about the organization. I have been writing a [2] blog as a sort of retro-diary of my experiences there, and am in the process of tracking down an official unit history for the place.
