How long does it take to reach $1 Billion? I thought a unicorn meant it had to be in 5 years. I mean, General Electric or Mitsubishi are over $1B too.
I think searches for Searches for "internet unicorn, "net unicorn" (etc?) should redirect to the page.
Nobody is going to do a search for "unicorn finance".
Why don't I fix it?
1) I don't like drama. See number two.
2) I don't know how. See number one.
If my suggestions are "controversial" - that's fine. The drama won't involve me.

Not all of them are in the financial sector. I think the article should have a different name. 172.58.95.8 ( talk) 21:35, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
As I understand it, few if any unicorns have ever paid a dividend to shareholders, as opposed to amassing huge Market Value from curious and adventurous investors. The orignal meaning ( ? ten years ago, in the Age of Dinosaurs..) referred to a unicorn character in a Lewis Caroll children's book, who tells the protagonist something like "I know I am not real, but if you believe in me, I will believe in you..". I am surprised not to see this reference here. I concede of course that an expression may alter its meaning drastically in a short time, especially in the finance industry, and particularly perhaps in this present context of heady optimism. WP:NCORP implies that all examples of raised capital are trivial Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies)#Examples of trivial coverage. I started an RfC to discuss whether unicorn funding rounds are more notable than smaller/earlier rounds, such as seed or Series A, and are therefore not trivial. I'm not saying that the unicorn funding makes a company inherently notable, only that it's not trivial. The discussion seems to have tapered off, and I thought editors who watch this page and have an interest in finance might be able to participate and share their perspective. Here's the discussion: Wikipedia talk:Notability (organizations and companies)#RfC about coverage of unicorn funding rounds. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 18:05, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
