A.S.D. Sambenedettese Calcio → S.S. Sambenedettese Calcio – After the promotion to Lega Pro, the club chose a new name, dropping the D (Italian word for amateur start with D) in the title. Despite the company known as S.S. Sambenedettese S.r.l. (s.r.l. stand for limited liabilities society), the club called themselves S.S.
