The lede states that without the advance bases, CONUS would have been location of naval asset repair and supply. This seems dubious as Hawaii would have been a likely US location for repair/refit of the majority of naval assets, as well as a major supply depot ( Red Hill Underground Fuel Storage Facility as just one example). The CRS report doesn't seem to support the statement and I have tagged it accordingly. ☆ Bri ( talk) 19:08, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
This article is a font of information, but it is somewhat disorganized and there are a few typos. It needs a re-write after a lot of careful consideration.
Also, it states that SeaBees were responsible for the installation of floating dry-docks. I am sure that the large majority of this work was not done by SeaBees.
