There's an edit war going on, on how to label Sen. Stennis in the "controversy" section. It seems to me the current state, with no characterization at all (neither party affiliation nor political bent) is appropriate. His political party is not the reason there is opposition to the name; his conservative vs. liberal placement on that axis is also not the reason for the opposition. His segregationist policies are the reason for the opposition. --jpgordon 𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 16:08, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
Why no Popular Culture section? Especially since the ship was used as a "stand-in" for the Sea Hawk in an episode ("Agent Afloat") of NCIS. 2600:8800:204:C400:4490:734D:26EA:D712 ( talk) 22:46, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. — RMCD bot 09:30, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
