Does anyone know what this means? InterTran said it meant: "Upon Sea Upon Celibate", but for obvious reasons I think this is wrong. If there are any people who can speak/translate Latin, this would be the time to use it.

Anthony Appleyard vandalized it and no one ever bothered changing it back. Too many edits have taken place to easily return it back to its proper state. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.71.220.47 ( talk) 08:00, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Could someone please describe the capabilities of the Intrepid. The projected capabilities of course, after she is free from the mud and after the renovation. Will she be able to manuver on her own power? And will there be aircraft taking off and landing on her deck?
Is there too much here about the Intrepid as museum given there's an article on the museum? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Metzby ( talk • contribs) 20:58, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
During a recent tour, a guide stated that the ship had (forty miles of anchor chain) which seemed mathematically impossible given that each chain link weighs 250 lb., can you confirm? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.88.230.75 ( talk) 02:09, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
I don't seem to be able to figure out how to change the {{ }} template where the mistyped word "protectice" is used instead of the word "protective" under "Ship's Armor". Does anyone know how to refer back to the Info Box master and correct that?
I recall reading that the crew of Intrepid had at least two other nicknames for the ship, "Decrepid" and "The Evil I." The latter nickname was apparently also used by the crew of CVL-22, USS Independence. The former nickname was probably earned during the 80+ days of continuous combat operations Intrepid fought through in the Fall of 1944. Currently, I can find no reliable online reference to either of these, but I know I've seen it so I'll put it on the library research list and add it when I have a proper citation. Just added two more renovation features, they are small but relevant all the same. Taken from the Annual Report for the Intrepid, 2007-2009. -Alex.Sio69 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alex.Sio69 ( talk • contribs) 04:21, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
I know the citation being used indicates "In Mare, In Caelo" but this is at loggerheads with pretty much all of the contemporary artifacts of Intrepid's service, including the very patch image being used on this page's infobox. "In Mare, In Coelo" is much more predominant and can be found in the Intrepid Museum's trademark, on struck ship's coins, on original patches etc. It should probably be changed accordingly.
