The US Navy has admitted its USS Farragut guided missile destroyer has damaged the Norwegian Coast Guard vessel KV Nordkapp's electronic systems and injured some of her crew, by powering on a high-output (5MW) Aegis air defence radar antenna in close vicinity of the other vessel.
According to the investigative committe, the norwegian crew was exposed to powerful electromagnetic radiation in the 3-4 GHZ frequency band, with same sailors suffering persistent headaches and skin burns in the aftermath of the incident that occured during an August 2012 joint naval excercise held in the Arctic Ocean region. 94.21.121.89 ( talk) 18:47, 15 March 2023 (UTC)
