Affectionately?...known as "Da-Puke" or "Da-Broke." I know, I know, NPOV. But good info none the less. -- ProdigySportsman 03:12, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Added reference to 1998 deployment to Gulf. RZid 20:28, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Is the statement "The event was an exemplary incident, which proved the flexibility of U.S. Maritime Strategy in time of crisis or emergency." really NPOV? It seems political to me.
Note that I agree with the statement, I'm just questioning its POV. WeeWillieWiki ( talk) 22:05, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
I put in a sentence on the H1N1 outbreak of May 2009, but it ought to be expanded as more information becomes available. Lidmann ( talk) 07:49, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

That is indeed a photo of one of the award boards that were on Dubuque's bridge wings, as verified by the incorrect numeral "3" on the Humanitarian Service Medal. Multiple awards of that medal are indicated by bronze stars, not numerals, and it bugged me the entire time I was on Dubuque. Not enough that I fixed it though, despite the fact that I was in a position to do so. 216.137.230.175 ( talk) 07:23, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
"In May 1988 Dubuque deployed to the Persian Gulf and served as the control ship for mine sweeping operations to protect US-flagged tankers during the Iran–Iraq War." Could any one confirm she participated in Operation Team Spirit in April 1988, post operation included a port visit to Pusan/ Busan. During Operation Team Spirit 1988, I embarked on a LPD- probably (not positive) one homeported in Japan. Thank in advance. Wfoj3 ( talk) 23:44, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
