Recently I made some edits to this page and to USS Oklahoma (SSN-802) to reflect which vessels will be equipped with the VPM modules. These were based on the USN Fact file pages on submarines which states "The next major change is the incorporation of the Virginia Payload Module (VPM), starting with the second Block V ship, SSN 803, currently under construction.", reflecting this I added the line "Arizona will be the second Block V boat and the first boat to feature the Virginia Payload" which was changed to "which will be among the first boats to feature the Virginia Payload Module" while minor this change could lead to confusion as it may lead some readers to believe that she will simply be the second boat to feature the VMP module, as that arguably fits within the description of "among the first". If the argument for changing the wording to "among" is something along the lines of "The boats may be commisioned out of order" I would say 1. This hasnt happend yet for any of the virginia class boats, and if its really a huge concern that the wording should be changed to "planned to be the first" not "among the first". I mention again that the source explicity states that VPM will start with SSN-803, implying that it is the first. paging Thewolfchild ( talk · contribs) since you may have an opinion on this.
