Is there official confirmation from UEFA that all Cup winners go into this competition as stated in the distribution table. UEFA's access list suggests it will be the lowest ranked qualifier. At present the Cup winners are currently treated as the highest UEL qualifiers.

It should be mentioned in the history section of this article (and related articles) that creations like this tournament are part of a push to create a "European Premier League". This ridiculous creation is the latest one of UEFA's answers, over the last 30 years, to threats from the wealthiest clubs in Europe to break away and form a private league. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:BB6:701C:8758:E0BE:99D8:2648:B5BB ( talk) 15:05, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
You acknowledge that the idea of a European Super League has been around for years but claim that this ridiculous competition is not another byproduct of that pressure or anyway related to it. This competition does not provide more access to clubs from smaller leagues, it pretends to do so. UEFA gave more Champions League access to the bigger leagues in 2018-19 and made it almost impossible for smaller clubs to qualify for the CL group stages (4 qualifying rounds instead of 3) [1]. UEFA made that change because they are afraid of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United/City pulling away and creating a private league. They have made many other structural changes over the last 25 years for the same reasons, fear and money. When you take more bread from the smaller leagues you have to throw them back a few breadcrumbs. This tournament is breadcrumbs, at best.
Every time I come back to this UECL article, someone has changed the 'current edition' hyperlink so that it only links to the qualifiers and play-off stages. This is not useful, as all relevant information from that page is on the main article for 2021–22 UEFA Europa Conference League. Looking at the editing history, it is always done by User:The Optimistic One. Please stop reverting it. It is not useful; most people who come to the main article for UEFA Conference League will be looking for the current season, and will be wanting a quick summary of the competition (eg who will be playing who on what day for the qualifying rounds). The main article for 2021–22 UEFA Europa Conference League serves this purpose. If someone wants to see who scored in the 2nd qualifying round for Connah's Quay Nomads, they will be able to find this on the qualifying rounds article. However, the main article is the one most people are likely to be looking for, due to its brevity, so it should remain as the hyperlink.
Please incorporate this change in the article.
Taking the total number of teams from 32 to 36 in the UEFA Champions League, the biggest change will see a transformation from the traditional group stage to a single league stage including all participating teams.
…
Similar format changes will also be applied to the UEFA Europa League (8 matches in the league stage) and UEFA Europa Conference League (6 matches in the league stage). Subject to further discussions and agreements, these two competitions may also be expanded to a total of 36 teams each in the league stage. Eric Nelson ( talk) 12:43, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
I propose merging List of UEFA Europa Conference League finals into UEFA Europa Conference League. The list of finals has only two entries and routine coverage. This list is better covered in a section of this article for the time-being, at least say five finals? The existence of such list is simply not justified with two entires. I am nominating this per the @ Snowflake91: suggestion on the talk page. Idiosincrático ( talk) 07:04, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
Is there an accepted abbreviation for the forthcoming name UEFA Conference League that distinguishes it from the UEFA Champions League? The abbreviation "UCO" has been put forth by KyleRGiggs in a table at UEFA_coefficient, and that might well be correct, but I haven't found independent evidence of it. So, I thought we should have a brief discussion here. Thank you. Coining ( talk) 12:16, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
