From this 1969 map
So it's likely that when US 66 was decommissioned in Missouri in 1979 (to US 71) and 1985 (the rest of the way), it was only separate from I-44 west of Springfield. [1] says that it actually used Route 66 all the way to I-44 east of Joplin. Anyone know for sure? -- SPUI ( T - C - RFC) 08:41, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
