Move

I've moved this back to the last and highest status the district had before it was abolished, as that is what has been done with the other historic districts. MRSCTalk 07:22, 25 March 2007 (UTC) reply

Split?

The article is confusing in that most of it deals with the township/civil parish of Turton, but some of it deals with the urban district which existed from 1894 to 1974, and covered a much larger area. Would it be better to split the article into two, one on the township and one on the UD?-- Mhockey ( talk) 21:54, 7 August 2014 (UTC) reply

I could not get the archive links to work, but the pages on the Vision of Britain website work, so I have linked to those pages.-- Mhockey ( talk) 21:34, 13 January 2016 (UTC) reply
