Surely this is Stoke-on-Trent not Newcastle? It certainly isn't in Wolstanton, or even near it. Unsigned 23:45, 30 January 2009 212.100.250.218

Granted. Census and registration for Cole residents of Turnhurst were often listed under Wolstanton, which is the source of my error. I will correct the description. Mark Beard ( talk 17:31, 13 July 2009 (UTC) reply

On second thoughts, the closest village is Newchapel which is listed as being in the Borough of Newcastle. Note, this is Newcastle-under-Lyme, not Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I'll change Wolstanton to Newchapel, and clarify Newcastle as -under-Lyme. Mark Beard ( talk) 17:50, 13 July 2009 (UTC) reply

I can supply extra information about 17th century Rowleys who lived at Turnhurst, and will put something together soon. Chrisemms ( talk) 22:46, 24 September 2011 (UTC) reply
