If anyone has source for information about Turkish hamsters but do not know how to incorporate it into Wikipedia, then please contact me and I will do it. I am unable to find any good sources. Blue Rasberry 19:34, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
New user User:Ellen.goleas just did huge changes to the article. I checked for copyright violations and things seem okay, but when I see sweeping changes from new users I sometimes have doubts so I tagged this article as copypaste. I see that this user is a student doing a class project for a teacher named User:Joegrohens, so I assume that this person also will review the article.
If everything is original work then this is a great improvement to the article. It still needs reliable sources because some of these pet websites themselves may not meet WP:RS. Blue Rasberry (talk) 07:00, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, Bluerasberry - I'm working with the student. -- Joegrohens ( talk) 14:48, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi, Bluerasberry -- This is Ellen, I am the student that wrote the Turkish Hamster article. I'm sorry if it seems that I copy-pasted -- I did not copy-paste. I found several sources about the Turkish Hamster and wrote the article on my own, outside of Wikipedia. I uploaded it all at once, instead of uploading it over time. I carefully paraphrased the sources that I used, and I did make sure to cite them at the end. I also found a photo of a Turkish Hamster online, and I contacted the photographer via email. She approved my use of the photo for the page, but I see that it has been removed. I'm sorry that this has become a problem, but I assure you that I did not copy-paste from any source; I just did a lot of reading and made sure to document my findings. -- Ellen.goleas —Preceding undated comment added 21:51, 25 April 2011 (UTC).
