- As medical claims require a higher level of standard of references, which none of references fulfilled I deleted the unsupported medical claims. Deleted reference to Shri Yog Vedant Seva Samiti from the article. It is not clear from a Google search who this is other than someone associate with Asaram. If the article is going to mention him, it should do a better job of explaining who he is. - Thanks for the background. However, it actually demonstrates my point. The casual reader is not going to have any idea what "Shri Yog Vedant Seva Samiti". As I mentioned above, my objection to having the mention of "Shri Yog Vedant Seva Samiti" is not that it is unreferenced, it's that to a casual reader it's a meaningless statement. If it is included in the article, there needs to be some context as to what it is since it is not going to be common knowledge. If it is notable beyond the context of this festival, perhaps it should have its own article, or maybe a section of the Asaram article since I only see it mentioned in relation to Asaram context by my (limited) search on Google. - This festival is part of the larger topic of Tulsi in Hinduism which already has a section on several festivals related to Tulsi. The question is whether the topic of this article is notable enough, has enough reliable sources, and large enough subject to warrant an article. My suggestion that a a merge might be beneficial was because there seems to be trouble finding enough content that is on subject for this article to make it larger. Much of the suggested content has heavily overlapped on the subject of other articles. This leads to redundant and conflicting information in different parts of Wikipedia, and should be avoided per
WP:CFORK. In any case, I am not proposing a merge... Just that
WP:RS content be added that doesn't overlap on other articles. --

Although this was started by Asaram Bapu but now this is widely celebrated and it is supported by references like BBC, ZEE News etc. How come you have redirected it to a generic page and deleted all the referenced content twice. Don't you think it was your responsibility to at least discuss on the talk page. After all you deleted the well-referenced content. It is about a well-known festival which is celebrated on 25th December and thus we need to have a separate page as Tulsi in Hinduism is not at all about this particular festival. - Although Asaram Bapu started this initiative now it is widely accepted by Hindus all over India as proved by references. And hence this festival finds a place on Wiki. Let me give you few examples: 1- Alamo_Christian_Foundation was founded by Tony Alamo who was sentenced to 150 years in federal prison for sex. But still that page exists on Wiki. 2- Shoko Asahara was founded by Shoko Asahara who was sentenced to death by hanging under Japanese law. But still that page exists on Wiki. 3- Lord Our Righteousness Church was founded by Wayne Bent who was sentenced to 18 years. But still that page exists on Wiki. 4- Christian Heritage New Zealand was founded by Graham Capill who was sentenced to nine-year imprisonment term in 2005 after multiple charges of child sexual abuse against girls younger than twelve. But still that page exists on Wiki. 5- Creativity Movement was founded by Matthew F. Hale who was sentenced to a 40-year prison term for soliciting an undercover FBI informant to kill a federal judge. But still that page exists on Wiki. And many more... So please try to understand that a good initiative "can" be started by a person who was convicted(case is still in high court and others involved in case got clean chit too). Although this was started by Asaram Bapu but now this is widely celebrated and it is supported by references like BBC, ZEE News etc. How come you have redirected it to a generic page and deleted all the referenced content twice. Don't you think it was your responsibility to at least discuss on the talk page. After all you deleted the well-referenced content. It is about a well-known festival which is celebrated on 25th December and thus we need to have a separate page as Tulsi in Hinduism is not at all about this particular festival. - Although Asaram Bapu started this initiative now it is widely accepted by Hindus all over India as proved by references. And hence this festival finds a place on Wiki. Let me give you few examples: 1- Alamo_Christian_Foundation was founded by Tony Alamo who was sentenced to 150 years in federal prison for sex. But still that page exists on Wiki. 2- Shoko Asahara was founded by Shoko Asahara who was sentenced to death by hanging under Japanese law. But still that page exists on Wiki. 3- Lord Our Righteousness Church was founded by Wayne Bent who was sentenced to 18 years. But still that page exists on Wiki. 4- Christian Heritage New Zealand was founded by Graham Capill who was sentenced to nine-year imprisonment term in 2005 after multiple charges of child sexual abuse against girls younger than twelve. But still that page exists on Wiki. 5- Creativity Movement was founded by Matthew F. Hale who was sentenced to a 40-year prison term for soliciting an undercover FBI informant to kill a federal judge. But still that page exists on Wiki. And many more... So please try to understand that a good initiative "can" be started by a person who was convicted(case is still in high court and others involved in case got clean chit too). - It's very simple. Refer this link of initiatives started by convicted religious leaders [1]. If their initiative finds a place on Wiki Why can't Tulsi Pujan Diwas. This festival encourages us to plant and worship Tulsi plant which is worshipped in Hinduism. As well as promotes greenery by telling the importance of Tulsi plant. If you want to hide his name from this article. It is unethical as Wiki is for showing true info, and hiding who initiated this festival by deleting references is definitely unethical. Since this festival was started by him so it is necessary to mention that. Rest of the article anyway doesn't mentioned it. And that's definitely a bias that we hide the name of the person who started this festival from the page, even when the news websites prove that it was started by him. {u|Gumshoe97} himself stated the entire article is fine as per him except the name of the initiator. And as per me, hiding name of initiator is like hiding info from Wiki viewers.
