Can anybody include the information below into the article? I tried it but I was not able to do it because the systematic in the article is different from the systematic here and the maps I had were not good enough to find the islands of both lists (or some islands have several names).
I found the list on: http://www.presidence.pf/index.php?658. It is a governmental website (very slow connection), so the information there should at least be correct. The divions below seem to be more geographical than administrative, although it is a governmental website (the only administrative divisions found on Tuamotu are the communes (together with the Gambier Islands), see here: http://www.polynesie-francaise.gouv.fr/hc/tuamotu-gambier/dossiers.asp).
Western Tuamotus (LES TUAMOTU DE L'OUEST)
Central and Northern Tuamotus (LES TUAMOTU DU CENTRE ET DU NORD)
Eastern Tuamotus (LES TUAMOTU DE L'EST)

The following text is already in the article:
"The islands in the eastern part of the Tuamotus (Anaa, Fangatau, Hao, Hikueru, Makemo, Napuka, Nukutavake, Pukapuka, Reao, Tatakoto and Tureia), together with the
Gambier Islands (Gambier), form Îles Gambier et Tuamotu Est, one of the six electoral districts (circonscriptions électorales) for the
Assembly of French Polynesia (Assemblée de la Polynésie française). The islands in the Western part of the Tuamotus (Arutua, Fakarava, Manihi, Rangiroa and Takaroa) form Îles Tuamotu Ouest, a separate electoral district for the Assembly of French Polynesia."
Extraction of the places mentioned in the text "Political divisions":
East (=Îles Gambier et Tuamotu Est): Anaa, Fangatau, Hao, Hikueru, Makemo, Napuka, Nukutavake, Pukapuka, Reao, Tatakoto and Tureia. West (=Îles Tuamotu Ouest): Arutua, Fakarava, Manihi, Rangiroa and Takaroa.
General consideration: I think these places are municipalities (in France called communes, see also Commune in France and Lists of communes of France although I have just seen that the communes of French Polynesia are missing on this list, for more on this topic, see also Talk:French Polynesia or Talk:Commune in France or Talk:Lists of communes of France). In case of very small islands, probably several small islands have not an own municipality but belong to a bigger islands defining the name of the municipality.
If you compare the list "Political divisions" with the list on the top, the names are completely identical (with one exception: Pukapuka versus Puka Puka, probably the same place). Interesting is the fact that in the list on the top, there are three categories and in the list "Political divisions", there are only two categories. Furthermore, for example Anaa, which is mentioned in the list on the top under the category "Western Tuamotus" is mentioned in the list down here under the category "East" (=Îles Gambier et Tuamotu Est). I do not know why.
Another grouping, found on:
http://www.polynesie-francaise.gouv.fr/hc/tuamotu-gambier/index.asp.
l'ouest, Rangiroa, Takaroa, Manihi, Arutua, Fakarava ;
au centre, Anaa, Makemo, Hikueru, Hao ;
à l'est, Napuka, Puka Puka, Fangatau, Tatakoto, Nukutavake, Reao,
au sud Tureia, Gambier.

Can someone render "Conseil du Scoutisme polynésien" and "Be Prepared", the Scout Motto, into Tahitian? Thanks! Chris 14:48, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
I have looked at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikipedians_by_language . It would appear that there are no templates like {{
User ty}}
, {{
User ty-3}}
for Tahitian. :(

The preamble mentions seven groups — but eight groups are then listed! I've altered the preamble accordingly. Prisoner of Zenda ( talk) 09:04, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
