I must disagree on that statement. The following Eurovision winners have all returned to the contest (winning year/year of return in brackets):
Grethe Ingman (1963), Frida Boccara (1969), Séverine (1971), Vicky Leandros (1972), Emilija Kokić of Riva (1989), Olsen Brothers (2000), 2XL (2001), Helena Paparizou (2005) and Loreen (2012) all competed in national selections after their victory.
Udo Jürgens (1966), Johnny Logan (1987, second win) and Emmelie de Forest (2013) all returned as songwriters. Euro Mok ( talk) 10:06, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
