I endorse the proposal of merging Calf muscle into this article. Calf muscle and Triceps surae are two names of the same muscular group, and Triceps surae is the name that we should prefer, analogous to Triceps brachii, Biceps brachii, Biceps femoris). Toes point down?

The article states that the toes will point down if the muscle is torn. Mechanically, I find that strange, considering tightening that muscle would push the forefoot and toes down, no? Is it correct? Tenbergen ( talk) 21:49, 3 March 2010 (UTC) reply
