Overlap with "Trainband" article?
I am not an expert in this area, but it looks like there is another article on this same topic ("
Trainband"). Is there a difference between the two articles, or is there an opportunity for consolidation here?

I concur, needs a merge. Ostensibly “trained bands” referred to the practice in England while “trainbands” referred to the practice in America, but neither article links to the other

Agree with the idea of a merge. The references in both articles seem to use
Trained bands (or similar) more often, so that would seem to be the more appropriate target page for the merge; of course
Trained band (currently a redirect) might be better to use the singular form for the title.
