Notability?

How in the world is this article not notable? Care to explain? -- Summonmaster13 18:08, 30 June 2006 (UTC) reply

Happy to. There has to be cut off somewhere. The concensus is that for a sportsperson to be notable, normally they need to have played for a professional team in the country's major league or as an amateur won an olympic medal for example. University sports are not considered suitable to establish notability. Nothing against women's basketball - this applies to all sports in all countries. BlueValour 18:19, 30 June 2006 (UTC) reply

How do you know she couldn't play at the professional level. A top ranked college player is better than a bottom dweller professional player who is one of the worse in league history. -- Summonmaster13 18:25, 30 June 2006 (UTC) reply
