This article (I'm not sure whether that site is considered to be a reliable enough source) and the Booneville Herald piece both say he was born in Buffalo. As far as I can tell the BBC article only says he was raised in Coronado. -- Finlay McWalterჷ Talk 14:13, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
This forum discussion includes a post by "paulmcmillan", who gives the plane's tail# as G-AGDR (which is listed in our Consolidated Liberator I article, and he's surely right about that). Paul also identifies the attackers as being from No. 317 Polish Fighter Squadron and lists the 5 crew and 4 passengers. Similar details are here. Armed with that info I found this, which reports about the death of the plane's FO, Richard Williamson - it has some details of the official enquiry into the incident. None of this is quite firm enough a RS to make it into the article, in my opinion, but it's an excellent lead. -- Finlay McWalterჷ Talk 22:57, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
