I don't think the device Carver uses to corrupt GPS signals is a 'decoder' - but I'll check before making a change. jamesgibbon 20:41, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Is it really used in every subsequent film, as stated in the article? I think it's briefly seen in TWINE at the Swiss Bank offices, but what about DAD? I think the poster featured a Beretta: http://www.ianfleming.org/007news/images3/dadteaser.jpg - so I assumed they'd done a placement deal. jamesgibbon 20:53, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
The Beretta is used by Jinx in Die Another Day (standard gun of most american military organizations).

I'm trying to find out for James Bond locations if Bond went to mainland China in this film. When they go to the bay from which they start to investigate where the stealth ship is, which country is that? I oppose splitting the article into separate film and novel articles. I fail to see how this would benefit Wikipedia, plus the resulting article would be simply a stub unless you want to simply repeat the plot summary given here. 23skidoo 13:03, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
The trivia section states that Bond incorrectly stated that Carver had an Oedipus complex. I always thought that Bond in the movie said "Edifice complex." It would make sense since he was talking about how many buildings Carver had in addition to being a witty play-on-words. Is there anyone that can confirm what Bond says? -- Ultimo Camdawg 22:23, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
I have removed a selection of trivia items which are unsourced and as such are original research. They took a variety of 'facts', analysed them and drew conclusions based upon that analysis. Please can editors of this article please try and abide by our policies. All statements should be accompanied by a reliable, verifiable source. They should also abide by our neutrality policy and our original research policy. Also, can any editors watching this article please remove such items if they are added as I would end up breaching the 3 revert rule if I did it all myself (as I did today it seems - but I won't be reverting again). Wikipedia should be striving for quality more than quantity of infomation, and according to Jimbo this is our goal for this year. Adding information without sources or full of opinion reduces the quality of the articles on the site and therfore damages the credibility of the site and its community.- Localzuk (talk) 21:28, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
I adjusted the numbers cited in the "Reception and Release" section. Original numbers were 850 million worldwide and stated that Goldeneye was 50 million more. The links supporting it actually state 330 million worldwide and only 20 million more for Goldeneye.--

How come this article makes no mention of the presumed inspiration for the character of Carver? Surely I'm not the only one who thought it was a thinly veiled caricature Rupert Murdoch, right? 24.215.248.146 01:22, 10 August 2007 (UTC) 8/8/07
Why not Ted Turner?? 21 March 2008
Rupert Murdoch met his wife, Wendi Deng, who is Asian, at a corporate party which she crashed. In this film, Carver is also captivated by Asian woman (later revealed to be a spy allied with bond) who admits to having crashed the corporate party which they are attending. I doubt this bears mentioning in the article but i couldn't help pointing it out. Now that Rupert Murdoch is beginning to be exposed to have committed much of the same type of behavior as Maxwell, it is interesting how prophetic the movie has turned out to be regarding him, when the character was in fact not meant to be based on Murdoch but Maxwell.-- Jdb00 ( talk) 19:33, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

The song had two songs entitled "Tomorrow Never Dies", but the more notbale one, the one which garnered the awards, was sung by Sheryl Crow. I could be wrong, but the second song (played over the closeing credits) was sung by KD Lang. I think the distinction need not normally be made for most films, but I think thisis an exception. LonelyBeacon ( talk) 19:48, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
The infobox is wrong, the main theme for the film was "Surrender" - the song played at the end of the film. The music from this song is played throughout the film. The music from the main song was written independently from the score and therefore did not feature in the film. It can therefore, not be called a theme - let alone the "main theme". A cleanup page has been created for WP:FILMS' spotlight articles. One element that is being checked in ensuring the quality of the articles is the non-free images. Currently, one or more non-free images being used in this article are under discussion to determine if they should be removed from the article for not complying with non-free and fair use requirements. Please comment at the corresponding section within the image cleanup listing. Before contributing the discussion, please first read WP:FILMNFI concerning non-free images. Ideally the discussions pertaining to the spotlight articles will be concluded by the end of June, so please comment soon to ensure there is clear consensus. --Happy editing! Elliot Carver maybe could ( ironically? ) refer to Bill Gates, in the film a man says that his new software is ready and that it has intentionally many problems to force the people make many updates.
Here, Götz Otto's interview quote is given as "I am big, I am bad, I am blond and I am German", whereas the article about him gives "I'm big, I'm bad, I'm blond, I'm German". The citation given by this article quotes him as saying "Ich bin groß, ich bin böse, und ich bin deutsch", which Google Translate gives as "I'm big, I'm angry and I am German". It would be great if someone could clear up the contradictions. -- 217.28.7.232 ( talk) 22:00, 4 July 2012 (UTC)

The airport location is shown as Peyresourde Airport. There doesn't seem to be any such place. Peyresourde is a col in the eastern Pyrenees. I'd suggest that Courchevel Altiport, hundreds of km away from Col de Peyresourde is more likely. The Courchevel runway has the same slope on it, leading to a precipice, that you see in the movie.
