Can anyone find a serious third party source that provides proof that Tommy Hilfiger didn't in fact make those comments? Sfacets 03:23, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Urban legends? Trend micro? Some random website that looks like a spammers cersion of paradise? Nope. Not good enough proof.
If both parties negate that it ever happened it is virtually impossible to find proof that he did in fact say those things. But I know. I just wanted to audit what ppls opinion on him were.
Sfacets 14:47, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Imformation: Tommy Hilfiger is the designer and founder of Tommy Hilfiger Corporation. His real name is Thomas Jacob Hilfiger.
Why is there no information about Tommy aftershave and Tommy Girl perfume in this article? Gemfyre 15:17, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

I've removed the link to flcrooks.com as it bears no connection with the article and appears to be merely an advertising link. -- Vincentanton 01:47, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
This article is poorly organised and there are parts of the introduction that would clearly do better in a new section titled "History" or something like that. I would do this myself but I do not have the time right now so if someone else wants to get to it then go ahead. -- PaladinWriter 12:38, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Where is he? IMHO, the picture isn't exactly repersentative of the guy. Jackpot Den 19:53, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Hilfiger hardly is an Irish name... maybe Catholic, maybe some Irish ancestry, but as far as I know Hilfiger is a Bavarian name (and Bavaria is - like Ireland - also predominantly Catholic). Wathiik

[1] My guess is that he is half Irish and Half Bavarian or wherever the name Hilfiger comes from (not Ireland anyway). But then again.... Compare these: [2] [3] Superdude99 17:37, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
In the report of the encounter with Axl Rose, these same words are used in the Rose article, but the referenced Fox News article makes no mention that Hilfiger was kicking, screaming, or dragged away by his own security guards. Unless these actions can be verified, it appears some editor has bias against Hilfiger. MDonfield 02:48, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
I was very surprised to find read that Tommy Hilfiger doesn't actually manufactor clothes, they merely use their label to market clothes manufactored by other companies. The wikipedia article says nothing about this and I feel that it is certainly relevant. I came across this information in my psychology textbook (Conducting Research in Psychology: Measuring the Weight of Smoke. By Pelham and Blanton, 2007. Pg 239). I then found this website going into further detail < http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node=Tommy%20Hilfiger>.
Please note the 6th post from the top in the link I provided. It includes citations for his or her sources. I feel that a list of Tommy Hilfiger's different manufacturers for their product lines is certainly worthy of being in this encyclopedia article.
Someone has vandalized this page. To name an example they replaced his name with "Tammy Hilsfinger", as well as other things. I think that something should be done about this. I don't think that someone's opinion should be brought onto the page itself. If anyone can do anything about this, please do.
Myelin Sheeth 04:23, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

There is a stray [92] and [93] in the (exorbitantly large) section about Hilfiger's apparently altercation with Axl Rose. I assume these were brought into the article as a result of sloppy cut-and-paste "editing", from another source. Any ideas? Tom e r talk 03:40, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
At 23:05 on 3 January 2008, 69.236.73.237 replaces the entire "Criticisms" section (dealing with Hilfiger's use of sweatshops, etc.) with the text "he is a racist ugly faggot with no life!"
This is quickly "reverted" (except it's not a reversion at all) at 23:39, 3 January 2008 by 86.130.8.33 (who has never done anything on Wikipedia before or since) who deletes the text- taking the whole criticism section with it.
Each individual edit looks OK. Nice.
Well now it's back. Hilfiger may not be a racist ugly faggot with no life (indeed I don't think he qualifies for _any_ of these ephitets) but he sure has acted as an exploiter of underpaid sweatshop workers -- Blorg ( talk) 21:40, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Why aren't there two articles? One for the man and one for the business. Axl Rose says Tommy Hilfiger slapped him in the arm several times after he moved Ocleppo's drink so it wouldn't spill at the Plumm and told Rose to move it back. Tommy Hilfiger says Axl Rose pushed him first. So..which is it? [5] 68.201.38.107 ( talk) 05:08, 27 March 2010 (UTC)mattaxeman

I noticed this article was hatnoted with the undisclosed editing template but a corresponding talk page entry wasn't started to clarify, as would be considered a WP best practice. We don't want to discourage others from editing any articles, for fear of being cast under community suspicion. I looked at the history and it appears that the editor Earflaps was identified as an undisclosed paid editor. The account has been blocked. Timtempleton ( talk) 23:48, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
