We have not been putting in a separate section for setting, but rather either 1. Just weaving it into the Synopsis, or 2. in some cases, putting the settings at the beginning of the Synopsis. I think that makes sense, because the Synopsis needs to be understood together with the settings, and by themselves, the Settings don't give much info. This probably needs to be moved since there is an earlier opera with the same title by Philidor for which I have just created an article ( Tom Jones (Philidor)). I'd suggest shifting this to Tom Jones (Edward German) then making Tom Jones (opera) a disambiguation page. -- Folantin 10:07, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

Tom Jones (German) → Tom Jones (Edward German) – Please refer to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Opera/Archive 117#Regarding the naming of Tom Jones (Philidor) and Tom Jones (German), and a concern regarding WP:NCOPERA for information on why the "Edward German" disambiguator came to be over the "German" disambiguator. Without the first name included in the disambiguator, the title makes it seem as though this article could be about an opera originating from Germany. Also, Coronation March (Edward German) exists, and in this example, the composer's entire name is in the disambiguator. Steel1943 ( talk) 21:08, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
