If this is accepted as "Encyclopaedic-Level Information", then GO TOBY! Is it accepted as "Encyclopaedic-Level Information, though? Please include the fact that he was a parade magazine all american and the recipent of the gatorade award for the best high school football player in california in 2005.
Should we put in the article the obvious racism involved in the Toby Gerhart case. The 40th ranked running back in the country coming out of high school? Is this a joke?!? He had the most rushing yards in California state history, 3rd most in USA history and he's the 40TH RANKED running back in the country?!?! Is there a single soul in the world that can honestly say with a straight face that if he was black, he would be the 40TH RANKED RUNNING BACK IN THE COUNTRY? (I still can't believe those words were said!!!) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.49.151.232 ( talk) 06:13, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Let's also not forget that, going into the NFL, his measurables were equal to Adrian Peterson's. Maggie3Wink ( talk) 00:00, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
White tailbacks are incredibly rare now. Good refs have noted his race. Article should take note of this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.82.38.175 ( talk) 20:35, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Haven't found anything to verify he was offered a lucrative baseball contract. The article linked says that he would give up football only if he were offered a lucrative baseball contract. Not that such a contract was indeed offered. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zugat ( talk • contribs) 20:50, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
He must be the greatest athlete in history... Maybe Bigfoot sightings have been Gerhart sightings all along. Maggie3Wink ( talk) 00:02, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

Not to state the obvious here, but the subject looks so sunburned in his infobox image that it is comical. I am not particularly adept at locating free images, but if someone else is, I think this article would be a great place to start. I almost think we should move the 2013 helmeted pic into the infobox. Larry Hockett ( Talk) 01:17, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
