since the term "a suck" can refer to a whirlpool, and Toad Suck is on the Arkansas river, it is more likely named for this. Presently, the river is channelized and made navigable by the Corps of Engineers, but it originally was a lazy, meandering river with swampy areas full of toads (more likely frogs) 2600:1700:22B0:AD00:7953:8FB1:41DD:C6D8 ( talk) 12:55, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
I’m from this area. The image currently used to represent Toad Suck is not actually in Toad Suck, but is in nearby Conway where the festival is held. It shouldn’t be used to represent the community. 24.144.62.30 ( talk) 04:26, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
