Hi user 63.226.105.150, regarding the dead of Tingye Li. You are probably close to this person, so first of all my condolences. But we need references before we can declare somebody dead on Wikipedia. So I have currently reverted your edits. I presume that soon an obituary will be published on him to make this official. At that moment his article can be updated with this as reference. I also left this message on your talk page. If you have any further questions, you can post here, on your talk page or on my talk page and I will help you as best as possible, Thanks SchreyP ( messages) 12:13, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
While working on Tingye's obituary, I referred to his wiki page and noticed that the following information “He became one of the first batch of specially hired experts of the Chinese State Council, participating in major state science and technology decision-making" on this page was not correct. Tingye never took any official positions from the Chinese government. His influence to Chinese decision makers was indirectly through the talks he gave at academic conferences and institutes in China. Cedriclam ( talk) 16:32, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Great article. I knew (and was helped by) Tingye. One correction though: I looked at the NIAAA web page, and the current director is Kenneth Warren, not Ting-Kai Li as stated. Warren replaced Li in 2008. ( http://www.niaaa.nih.gov/about-niaaa/our-staff/directors-page). 69.142.239.15 ( talk) 17:37, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[email protected]
