Good question. Mainly, it is a list, not an essay. It serves as a kind of index, and also provides space for mentioning significant events that otherwise might not be included in the "History of" essay article and/or perhaps do not yet warrant separate articles (eg Gold Coast and Albert Genealogical Society, etc). -- M2545 ( talk) 12:09, 3 February 2016 (UTC) reply
