There are good reasons in French to write thiéboudiène, but this spelling (with or without accents) probably doesn't work so well for English speakers. "Thigh-ebb-oo-dee-en"? Not proposing a change in the article title at this time, but note that use of the Wolof spelling ceebu jën (with or without diacritic) seems pretty widespread. Interestingly, one does not see much use of a phonetic English spelling like "chebujen."-- A12n ( talk) 14:06, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
