How the Tidal Basin article be complete without a mention of the late Wilbur Mills or Fanne Fox? Mills Admits Being Present During Tidal Basin Scuffle Fnorth 02:44, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
As a DC tour guide, I think it is appropriate to keep the Tidal Basin on a separate page from West Potomac Park (with appropriate cross references). Basically, people know, use and will search the term Tidal Basin. Very few, outside of the National Park Service, know the label West Potomac Park. GCappy 15:24, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
I don't get why this Mills story is so important as to deserve half the space of the full article. Not having heard the story before, I'm hoping this synopsis is a less interesting version than whatever legend/mystique there is with the version that tour guides give. As it is now, it just sounds like it belongs on a page about Mills himself as it seems to have very little to do with the Tidal Basin. Is it necessary to keep this here? Err.. this is not what i expected to find. I thought a tidal basin was generally an inlet of water from a river or something similar. This article should be renamed as it is confusing with the more common usage. Simply south 20:06, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Tidal Basin already redirects here anyway.

May I humbly suggest some maps... at the very least, a "before" and "after" pair, showing the changes made by the construction of the Tidal Basin. PurpleChez ( talk) 21:13, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
