A fact from Thyrocopa appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 10 August 2008, and was viewed approximately 1,000 times ( disclaimer) ( check views). The text of the entry was as follows: Did you know... that Thyrocopa is a genus of flightless moth endemic to Hawaii? A record of the entry may be seen at Wikipedia:Recent additions/2008/August.

Because I didn't think it was worth expounding on such a trivial thing, but if it matters: the DYK appeared saying "...Thyrocopa is a genus of flightless moth endemic to Hawaii". Since Thyrocopa consists of over 40 species, only two of which are flightless, the description is incorrect. When I edited the article I also removed the DYK notice from here, which someone put back a couple of days ago. Hence my comment. KarlM ( talk) 17:47, 18 February 2009 (UTC) reply
