Find correct name
The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).
I used a highly specific title for a reason. There are a lot of English-speaking Christian missionaries, & a fair number with Welsh names. There may well be other Thomas Stephenses in the mission field. But the simpler title is fair enough.

Well, 16th-17th Century CE India is not my field, neither is the Society of Jesus & its history; so I'll give others a chance to sound off on how he should be labeled. I included the death date only as the birth date seemed uncertain, else it would have been more like Father Thomas Stephens (1549 - 1619) (with maybe a reference to him being a Jesuit). It was clunky, though. (I was just a little irked that I'd already made 2 links & had to change them.)

I'm asking for opinions on how to further specify this Thomas Stephens. Should we add "Father"? "S.J."? expand the sub to "(missionary in India)"? Dates? Something else?
Ventifax22:20, 28 March 2007 (UTC)reply
I feel it would be good to add a page "Fr. Thomas Stephens" and redirect it to this page. Adding a date to the title would be counterproductive. "Fr." or "Father" would help disambiguate down to this particular person in a sea of Thomas Stephens. Don't add S.J. , in my opinion it is strictly unnecesary because in regular talk a priest's brotherhood is never used. Add a diambiguation page too, to seperate him from this

dates
There is a confusion regarding the date of publishing. The accounts in the two references contradict each other. Also there is no confirmation that Krista Purana was published in 1619 or it was written in 1619 . New advent mentions three dates (1619, 1649 and 1857).I have mentioned 1619. Can someone confirm/correct this --
