Because it wasn't even a stub. There were no categories and no information - it just said How to Fight a Girl is a book by Thomas Rockwell. It is the sequel to How to Eat Fried Worms. That information is now in a (short) article with some context which is what an encyclopedia is intended to give. Major books that contain enough information to stand on their own are a different matter.

Any such redirect should target the book article How to Eat Fried Worms, which calls How to Fight a Girl a sequel. Probably that article is mistaken; should be both fixed and expanded concerning its sequel or two. See also
