The subject of the article was German, and his surname is correctly spelled "Theodor", without the terminal e. It's rather unusual to translate names of persons that lived in the 20th century, so despite the fact that this is English language Wikipedia this should be moved to the German spelling. Is this article intended to be about von Hippel "the man" or about the Brandenburgers? It seems that 2/3rds of the information has to do with the organization, and there is almost nothing "biographical" about von Hippel himself... Engr105th ( talk) 00:13, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
The opening of the article says he was a Hauptmann under von Lettow-Vorbeck in WWI, but the end of the article gives his promotion to Oberleutnant (one rank lower) in 1935. Doesn't seem right... -- 24.202.1.112 ( talk) 17:43, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
