The theatre has "Theatro Municipal" written in letters a metre high on its facade, so it was clearly the historical name of the building. The website for the theatre is http://www.theatromunicipal.rj.gov.br, so it's also clearly the preferred current name. Where did the "Teatro" spelling come from?
