Can someone remove the "Tom" from after "Thomas"? After all, Max didn't need "Max" after his first name.
McGuinness is the normal spelling of the name, and McGuiness one among many common misspellings. Both are quite common on the web in mentions of the band, and the official band site doesn't say. Any authoritative source for the correct spelling in this case? 86.11.16.232 ( talk) 13:35, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

This is VERY true. NOTHING about the third album has been leaked nor confirmed by the band or the record label themselves. Collaborations are also false rumors and there is definitely no solid sources to back up the mentioned artists. — Preceding

James Kevin Noah Carlos McGuiness (Jay) was born in Newark 24th July 1990 along with his un-identical twin brother, 5 minutes apart, Tom. He has two biological brothers Luke and Dexter, along with a biological sister Debra. However Jay's parents, when he was just turning thirteen, made the conscious, selfless, decision to expand their family and adopt an African American child. Upon arrival of the birth of Jay's new adopted brother (Winston Wiley-McGuiness) Jay led a new path of entertainment due to the pressures at home. He started to attend a Tap Dancing facility where he experimented with the male sex, in order to figure out which path to take in life. However after a year or two he decided that he prefers the female genitala. At the age of 16 Jay lost his virginity (not of the anal kind) to his first long-term girlfriend Lucinda Bartholmude Cumberpatch. However in 2008 they decided to go part ways due to their interests colliding (she prefered the female sex organs) and Jay's auditioning of a new band. In 2009 the band formed and released their first chart topping single, All Time Low, in 2010. Following their years of success the band proceeded to dominate the world. There has been accusations of Jay developing a relationship with the bands only homosexual member Nathan Sykes, however the rumors were promptly denied. More recently there have been worries that Jay is frustrated and would like to create another life. He has been making frequent comments on babies and wanted a 'band baby call Arthur', which could then refer back to his relationship with Lucinda as new information came to light that her and her partner, Shaniqua, have adopted a baby from Uganda. Worries were formed when he made the comment 'it's like we're setting fire to babies or anything', which resulted in a restraining order stating he is not allowed within 100 feet of her, her partner, or her child. We are sure that Jay will stick to this order and hopefully find his own girlfriend - or boyfriend - to settle down with and have a baby. Jay is very excited for the release of their new album 'Word of Mouth' to be released on September 16th, and their upcoming world tour, where we are sure he will be looking for Mrs/Mr right. i also don't have the priveleges to edit it but i think it should it be pointed that they are musicial/singing group and not a band. not saying they don't know to play them and that they're not talented, but usually there are instruments invovled and yes i know the vocals are an instrument — Preceding unsigned comment added by Twishadowhunter ( talk • contribs) 23:54, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Interestingly enough, growing up in Midwestern America and Southwestern America we see a parallel in oral tradition passed on by children through Sweet Nothings, Whispers, Forget Me Nots and provide most something to think about often associated to Native Americans or just survival in the Jungle we call metropolitan cities...well that's certainly not El Yunque most will complain but the message great and the songs amazing and how to resolve the violence and what do I thnk to say that's appropriate and follows etiquette and I have n othing to say or add but we can't just be thinking...and how complex is thinking and how deep do I think...hopefully not as deep as the inner city and their mess we call a metropolitan city... Certainly does tan everyones hide......--> 71.3.82.33 ( talk) 17:29, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

Random question, but how is that a controversy? It just simply says that the police spoke to the band, thats not a controversy at all, if that was the case, then every celeb in the world should say that "so and so were spoken to by the Police" on their wiki page. Just doesn't make sense, it adds nothing to the page, I would understand, if one or some or all of the band members were swearing at the police officer and/or the man who was soaked by the champagne bottle. Unless this is incomplete, it shouldn't be on here as it adds nothing and is most certainly not a controversy unless there was more to it after or if the band was charged and found guilty of doing that! But as far as I know, they haven't been charged and nothing happened (at least from what I read anyways) after that they were spoken to by the police.
Where in the following (and yes I copied and pasted what is said in the section) does it say that the band (or a band member) threw a bottle? On 25 July 2013 the group was spoken to by police after champagne was thrown out of a hotel window, soaking poet Todd Swift. a police statement said "Police were called at around 12.20pm on Thursday, July 25, to a report of a man having been verbally threatened and having had a liquid substance thrown over him at a hotel in Marylebone."
If you read closely, it doesn't say The Wanted threw a bottle, or a certain band member had done it. It just simply says there were spoken to, and like it said above in the talk section, every celeb should have this section then if they were simply just "spoken to" by the police! And nothing has been posted about the aftermath, and if I am correct, nothing else happened, so its not something that should be posted in my honest opinion ,I am not trying to start an argument or anything like that, so I do not mean to offend in any way shape or form, but what is the point of posting this on their page, when it was nothing. Nothing happened, no charged were pressed, no one was taken to jail, nothing happened, there for it shouldn't be on this page at all! But again, thats my opinion, and your right its no biggie, as I know it will be deleted later on down the road, (whether its months, years or whatever, it will be removed) as it adds nothing to this page, it's just gossip if you ask me! — Preceding

Order of names l-r in main picture as of March 26, 2012 is incorrect.
Please change 'The Wanted at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball. l-r Jay Mcguiness, Tom Parker, Max George, Nathan Sykes and Siva Kaneswaran.' to 'The Wanted at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball. l-r Tom Parker, Max George, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran.'
Done We don't have a source for either, so I made that change. A source would be preferable. Thanks! —

I'm sorry, I don't have the required privileges to edit the page myself. But the album won't be called Third Strike. There's a video in which Nathan confirms it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qe3AWzj4O5A He says "It's not called Third Strike [...] could be a big jinx, like three strikes and you're out" So please, could someone edit this? Fralamp88 ( talk) 10:52, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
This is VERY true. NOTHING about the third album has been leaked nor confirmed by the band or the record label themselves. Collaborations are also false rumors and there is definitely no solid sources to back up the mentioned artists. — Preceding

In the section of the article called Nathan Sykes, there is a statement saying "He is dating Dionne Bromfield since 2012" which is incorrect and is single not comfirming a relationship with Dionne at any point. Charlotte TW ( talk) 14:32, 23 March 2013 (UTC)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no reliable confirmation that they have been dropped by their record label. I think it's premature to say that they have been dropped. Melonkelon ( talk) 01:14, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
— Preceding

Please remove past members is Nathan Sykes, and put him back into the current members because he said that he is busy with his life on twitter. Which obviously means he is still part of The Wanted. The rest of the boys are also busy with their own lives. Twfanmily1096 ( talk) 15:47, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
