Lacks citations to significant coverage in reliable sources where the band is the focus of the article. Supplied references mention it only in passing. It was contested by Lambdaphage ( talk · contribs) on 2011-12-31 with the comment: The notability guidelines are met, because the band was the subject of multiple articles and reviews in newspapers, magazines and blogs, has performed music for a notable film, and has been a featured subject of both TV and radio shows. This is detailed further on the article's talk page. |

The notability of this article's subject has been questioned. I believe that the criteria of notability are met, for the following reasons:
As a side note, songs by The Unlimiters received substantial airplay on several major radio stations, including Deutschlandradio Kultur ( playlist 1 and 2), Deutschlandfunk ( playlist), BBC 6 Music ( playlist), and Radio 3 of Radio Nacional de España ( playlist), as well as several local radio stations, such as Radio Eins from the broadcasting network RBB ( playlist 1 and 2). Still under the name The Essentials, the band had been interviewed in October 2008 on Radio Fritz, also part of RBB ( mp3).
