According to http://eterritorialdispatch.blogspot.com/2013/06/interview-with-turtle.html , John Lennon never even said a word to Jim, let alone insult him. He claims he quit in early 1968 due to the pressures of touring. I'm not all that experienced in article writing, so if someone more competent than I could verify this & correct the article, that would be appreciatd.
