I thought the catchphrase was "EL KABANG" as in "the ka' bang" but in faux spanish.
It was pronounced El Kabong, just as shown. How it was spelled is beyond me.
I remember distinctly... it was spelled El Kabong.
I thought that Quick Draw McGraw's alter ego was "El Kabongo", not "El Kabong". Anyway, I remember clearly that as he hit whoever he was hitting over the head with the guitar, he yelled "EL KABONGO!!!!!!" Slater79 ( talk) 02:42, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

In several cartoons, Baba Looey had to point out a sign to his friend and then read what it says. Did Quick Draw not know how to read and write? Macshill ( talk) 09:35, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
A major omission from this article is the dates when this character / TV series was produced / broadcast. The article states: "Quick Draw satirized the westerns that were popular among the American public at the time" - but there is no indication at all as to when "the time" was.
