Can we have some copyright tags on those (very nice) photos please, jguk? Thanks. Loganberry ( Talk) 03:07, 12 July 2005 (UTC)
I've got some nice panoramic photos which might look good on this page. I'm more than happy to share them if someone explains to me what changes I need to make to their copyright. Thanks. mcgillianaire —Preceding undated comment added 20:50, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
Three photo's of the OCS stand? Can someone pick out the best one, and remove the others. -- Commander Keane 14:01, 15 July 2005 (UTC)
I've been following Surrey cricket for the best part of 50 years, and I don't ever recall The Oval being called that. JH 09:03, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Just did a Google search on 'Oval "Grand Old Lady"'. It revealed that ovals all over the world have been referred to as a "Grand Old Lady" at one time or another. So it doesn't seem to be an appellation specific to "our" Oval. JH 17:58, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
I saee that the "Grand Old Lady" claim is back. I've stuck a "citation needed" against it. JH ( talk page) 16:52, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
The citation needed tag has been there for over a year and no reference is forthcoming. I have removed the statement untilsuch a time when someone can provide a reliable source for this nickname. -- Greatestrowerever ( talk) 13:42, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Is it true that the Kennington Oval holds the record for the most people running onto the grass in a stae of undress?
Didn't the Oval have a cat once upon a time called Lulu (I think that was her name)? I saw her once during the 1999 Cricket World Cup in England (she was black and white in colour). I searched for her on the web but couldn't find any info. If it wasn't her, then which was the ground that housed a cat as well once upon a time?
Is there a link to the layout of the ground - pavilions etc? Also: I removed a number of AOL links which seem to be dead. 88888 15:22, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
I found this [2] not strictly speaking a plan - but stands are marked. Nothing else is mind ... Ei2g 08:35, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
England also used to play rugby games at the Oval, there should be a mention of this.-- MacRusgail ( talk) 17:54, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
I don't want to make this change myself since ppl might not like it but why oh why does the association football section go on about matches not played at the oval; England matches in Scotland from the same period?
What is needed is a list of England matches played at the Oval and nothing more.
If you disagree, please say here, thx. 86.146.63.82 ( talk) 21:32, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
There is a 'wanted page' request for The Oval on the above wiki - www.london.wikia.com - would someone oblige? Jackiespeel ( talk) 23:06, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
Can someone provide an explanation and citation for the name "OCS stand"? SovalValtos ( talk) 16:29, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
What evidence is there of either a Zeppelin or a hot-air balloon being used? A blimp maybe. SovalValtos ( talk) 17:50, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: procedurally closed, I've restored the status quo. I'm closing this particular discussion because they tend to become a bit of a mess if left open once the move being proposed has been actioned. However, anyone who supports the title being at "The Oval (cricket ground)" (or some other variation) is welcome to start a new RM as soon as they wish. In particular CDRL102 might want to exercise this option. Jenks24 ( talk) 06:38, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
The Oval (cricket ground) →
The Oval – The cricket ground is the
primary topic for "The Oval". At most, there should be a move discussion before this is moved again. –
