I deleted "humorous" from the band's description. It's limiting the band's genre. Besides, most of the band's songs aren't even humorous. This could apply to
Parokya ni Edgar's music, but not to Itchyworms'.

Itchyworms →
The Itchyworms – Rebranding of band formerly named Itchyworms. Inclusion of The is now required for all citations of the band name where it was previously cited as simply Itchyworms

Comment: No evidence given. The official website,
http://www.itchyworms.com/, is not functioning. My rough impression is that usage is mixed (both by the band and by independent sources). When usage is mixed, I believe Wikipedia usually omits "the". —

Comment: I am talking in behalf of the band as I am their current road manager, and the addition of "The" before "Itchyworms" proves crucial to our branding. If you check social media for posters of recent interviews, events, and guestings, we're always billed as "The Itchyworms". Needing the Wiki page changed so as to alleviate unnecessary further discussions with clients and media re: branding every single time --

It is for you to provide references, not we. Check
WP:RS. Wikipedia requires usage from reliable, secondary sources. By talking on the band's behalf, you are a primary source. The crux is what do others call them?, and for that you need to show reportage, more or less. For examples,
The Boomtown Rats or
The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band or reductio ad absurdemThe The? The band's former nane would almost certainly be kept unless some

Comment: Commenting again to add proof. For one, the addition of "The" can be seen in the band's logo that can be found on the
official merch site and SNS including
Facebook,
Twitter,
Instagram, and
Spotify (most of which are verified). Checking on news, several articles have also properly cited the band according to branding such as the articles from

Weak support: That's not a lot, but it's probably sufficient per
WP:NAMECHANGES, since there doesn't seem to be a lot of coverage of this band. —

Be patient. There's a saying here that on Wikipedia
there is no deadline. This has only been discussed for one day. RM discussions are supposed to usually take about a week. Lately they've been taking longer than that. We need to wait enough time to allow others to comment, and then someone will "close" the discussion (see
WP:RMCI). —

Oppose.
WP:RS haven't caught on with "The Itchyworms". I've specifically searched for "Itchyworms" without "The Itchyworms" showing up, and several
WP:RS still use the former:
ABS-CBN News (just this week!),
SBS Australia (just this month),
PEP (earlier this year),
Manila Bulletin (compare "The Juans" vs. "Itchyworms"),
Manila Times,
GMA News; these are in the past 12 months. If
WP:RS have caught on using "The Itchyworms" without the band and the label telling them do so, then perhaps we can move it. Otherwise, this is too soon.
