It's not only Stephen Rea and Eve Best who Hugo Blick now "re-uses". The bald man, an American customer who recognized "Peter Glickman" ( Antony Sher) in the Irish antique clock-shop appeared here as a taxi driver, who turned out to be a killer who got killed himself - are the same actor. And the body guard who got shot in second episode acted as a journalist in The Shadow Line (TV series). All who has watched both series also ought to recognize Hugo Blick's rather special style. I just watched this on HBO Max (which it’s about to leave), and there are 9 episodes, not 8. Also, The first few episode descriptions contain events that happen in later episodes (probably true of the rest, too, but I watched the remaining episodes in a bit of a rush and haven’t read the descriptions). I don’t have time now to check if there’s some strange variance or if the article is just wrong, so I’m leaving this note in case I don’t get back to it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Colintedford ( talk • contribs) 04:05, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
Episodes 7 and 8 as listed here were 8 and 9 as I watched them. Episode 7 is “The Sibling Split”. Colintedford ( talk) 04:10, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
OK, I just checked some of the sources on the article. BBC, IMDB, and at least 1 DVD listed on Amazon have it as 8 episodes, as does the version you can buy on Apple TV. HBO must have had some variant cut. I’ve changed this talk section’s headline from “Wrong” to “Variant” and added a question mark. Would be nice to have something about this in the article. I wish I hadn’t waited until the show’s last days on HBO Max to watch it, because now I can’t access the version I watched, but hopefully it’ll return. Colintedford ( talk) 04:26, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
Found a few links showing the existence of the 9-episode version with “The Sibling Split” (made some time because it was nagging at me):
I’m very curious about the story behind this! Colintedford ( talk) 04:40, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
