I removed the speedy delete tag because Dethalbum is a confirmed album from Dethklok, who are in the notable TV show Metalocalypse. DarkSaber2k 12:33, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Before I go off deleting Hatredcopter from the list of songs Dethklok has performed, I will ask for your source on confirmation that Hatredcopter WILL be on DethAlbum. It's mentioned as confirmed on DethAlbum, mentioned as speculated on Hatredcopter (which in itself doesn't seem like a notable Wiki page), and isn't mentioned anywhere else with a source. The entire reason I started deleting it was because we can't get our facts straight on this song. -- Sakaki22 19:37, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
The page used as a source seems to simply copy and paste information from Wikipedia, and the Dethklok MySpace blogs. I don't see how it can be used as an official source of information. Also, it seems to bear no mentioning to Hatredcopter on Dethalbum, as I talked about above. -- Sakaki22 03:24, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
The page mentions a leaked watermarked copy of the album available on the internet. Well, as of this morning (09/01/07), there is an unedited leaked version. Worth mentioning? And yes, Hatredcopter is on there. 74.101.94.18 23:05, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Does anybody know where we would find this album in a Best Buy or something? I mean, is it a Soundtrack, or is it an actual album that will be placed among the Rock/r&b section?-- 72.48.236.6 14:24, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
I'd call it an actual album being it's featuring new material and "finished", if you will, versions of the songs. FallenWings47 18:52, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
At Best Buy in Lenexa, KS, it was in the "Rock/Pop" section, under "D" for Dethklok (and not under "M" for Metalocalypse). And I got the last one. :-) (The blue one, not the red, but at least I got it.) And there was a guy with a blue copy in his hand at that moment pointing a girl to where they were, just after I grabbed mine. I didn't think it would be that popular...I guess neither did BB. ak 21:34, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Does anyone know if this album will have the Parental Advisory sticker? From hearing the songs from the show, there isn't any swearing. There is a bit of violence, though, and sometimes they will put a P.A. sticker on just for that. The sticker isn't on the album cover shown, I have not heard the leaked bootleg yet so I can't be sure, but can someone clear this up for me? My friends call me capn 05:59, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
I've heard the leak, and in the songs "Birthday Dethday" and "Face Fisted (New Phrygian Song)" the work "fuck" is used several times. I don't however, know if there is or is not a PA sticker. FallenWings47 18:24, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Hmm. I looked it up on the Target website, and it doesn't have a sticker on the album cover or in the description there... And the sticker is on the album cover for other albums that have the sticker, so that leads me to believe there is not a PA sticker. I am still not sure though. My friends call me capn 02:58, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
On the flash animation on DethKlok and Brendan Small's MySpaces, it says "Metalocalypse: DethKlok: The Dethalbum available at Target for $9.99 starting 9/25. Limited time only." and at the bottom it has a PA sticker. So I think it does have one. Still no sign on the Target website though. My friends call me capn 05:32, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
It does have the P.A. sticker. I've seen a pic on someone's MySpace who works at Best Buy and is holding one of the copies they have in the back that they can't sell. I won't link to protect the person's privacy. My friends call me capn 21:30, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Does anybody know if any song on here is gonna get some air time?-- 72.48.236.6 14:25, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Well I know it's not what you mean but "Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle" (the show version; which at this point seems that the album version is about the same time as the show version, but I do not know if they made any changes on the album version) has been played on the radio. FallenWings47 15:49, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
They announced on Adult Swim last night, before the premiere that Bloodrocuted was going to be getting rotation on MTV. This leads me to believe it will be a single. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.169.138.120 ( talk) 19:05, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Should it be noted that pickles has vocals in the song Hatredcopter? I don't see who else could be singing the chorus, and it sounds exactly like when he sang for Snakes 'n' Barrels. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.148.73.70 ( talk) 01:40, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I'd say so too. I've also heard he (Pickles) does lead vocals on the song "Kill You" FallenWings47 21:17, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
If it's not stated in the linear notes, and there is no statement from either James Hetfield or Brendon Small(and/or their "people"), then I am about 99.99% sure that it is not James Hetfield. My friends call me capn 01:31, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
Nothing would make me happier than James singing on Hatredcopter, or any other song. Unfortunately, it's not true. In the liner notes of the album, where they very nicely printed the lyrics to all the songs, when it comes to the chorus of Hatredcopter, it specifically says "[Pickels]" followed by the chorus lyrics. That means, ofcourse, that that's his part to sing, and that it's not James. Good internet rumor, though. Maybe there's some small chance I'm wrong (fingers crossed), and that they just put [Pickles] to show he was singing, but then just brought in James for Pickles' part. Yeah... uh-huh... Wilhelm Screamer 22:28, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Are the songs on the second disc new rerecorded versions of "Duncan Hills Coffee", "Blood Ocean", "Murdertrain A Comin'", and "Hatredy", or is it just the versions they have on the show or the mp3's they released? My friends call me capn 04:21, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
I would assume they're full length songs like the rest of The Dethalbum, otherwise they probably wouldn't have as many sales. FallenWings47 22:39, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
"The album features full-length, and remade songs from the TV show (different to the one minute, fading out songs in the show and on the Dethklok Myspace) as well as previously unreleased tracks." DreamsofTacos 04:46, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Thank you, Dreamsoftacos, but I think that was referring to the actual album, not the bonus disc that comes with the double-disc edition. My friends call me capn 23:05, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
I second that. FallenWings47 21:18, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
"Blood Ocean" and "Hatredy" are both significantly longer than the Mp3s they released, so most likely they are also new recorded versions. My friends call me capn 00:45, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Well they're all most likely newly recorded. If you've heard the new "Deththeme", "Thunderhorse" or "Hatredcopter", I have a feeling that's the kind of thing they did/are doing for "Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle". FallenWings47 09:06, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes, they are new recorded versions. I heard them on YouTube. My friends call me capn 04:22, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
I have heard a rumor that the song "Kill You" (on the second disc of the deluxe) is written and performed by the fictional band from the show, Snakes `N'Barrels. In the linear notes part, it credits the song to "Pickles, Snizzy Snazz Bullets, Tony Thunderbottom, and Sammy Twinskins." I don't remember whether these are the names of the band members from Snakes N' Barrels, but is there any citing in the actual CD booklet? —Preceding unsigned comment added by My friends call me capn ( talk • contribs) 01:27, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
"kill you" WAS written by Snakes `n' Barrels but NOT performed by them. dethklok performed it with pickles at lead singer. There is a citing in the book which is "All songs written by DETHKLOK Except "KILL YOU" written by Pickles, Snizzy Snazz Bullets, Tony Thunderbottom, and Sammy Twinskins." I removed this reference, as it is not true. The version on Dethalbum has been previously unreleased and is clearly not what appears in GH2. KyuzoGator 18:28, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
I checked amazon.com, and it would seem that all of the deluxe editions have not been sold, not even to those who pre-ordered back on the first that it first came on amazon.com. It would seem that Williams Street Records has not given many (if any) of them to amazon.com. The page on the target website has been completely removed. Apparently they recalled it. It could just be an internet rumor, let me do a little more investigating... My friends call me capn 00:56, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
No. According to DethKlok's new blog, they just sold out on the first day, so they are making more copies to be out soon. They also hinted(in the same blog) about puttting the double bass action back into Go Into the Water. My friends call me capn 01:37, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Well, that shows me-- Finest1 22:21, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
This section should be edited and probably cited. Someone could cite their MySpace message saying the Deluxe Edition sold out on the first day, if that is what it says. Also, the current text implies that someone bought a copy for $300, which I find hard to believe. When I looked on amazon.com last night, the lowest price was $79, and I doubt anyone would actually buy one for $300 if there are lower prices listed. 134.29.33.13 15:20, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
I have changed this section so that it makes more sense. Then I noticed my edit had been reverted. Please do not revert the edit again unless you can explain why you're doing it. 216.114.201.147 03:26, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

If you can pick up the album (which I'm happy to say I did yesterday, unfortunately only the standard edition) the lyrics are in there. FallenWings47 07:42, 06 August 2007 (UTC)
It seems there is going to be a controversy on this because, although on the back covers of both editions both have the extra "h" included but, if you were to open the book of both editions and look at the lyrics it only has the one "h". I've also found that [as] dethalbum page uses the "HH". [1] Not only that, when reading through the lyrics themselves there seems to be quite a handful of typos. So WTF do we do now? No it haven't. Only Blooddrunk and Watershed came close charting respectively one and two positions behind. Haxxiy ( talk) 20:01, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Sometimes reviewers will say that a band is death metal while some others would use their specific genre. The problem with this is the band is wrongfully called death metal because the reviewer (e.g. an MTV one) doesn't know there's an actual genre out there called melodic death metal and the failure for them to recognize this is the very reason for my edit. I'm well aware of WP:OR but when an "expert" says Nile are death metal doesn't mean they are just so. They have their specific place in death metal with their own subgenre and it would be extremely misleading. I'll let you know I'm not trying to "fly over the facts" as I've been here for quite some time maybe longer than 'you' have though 'you' may have the same thoughts but recognized it as "OR" 137.124.9.20 ( talk) 23:44, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Trust the back and the site or the books with typos Dethfan216 03:41, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Is there a release date or any confirmed details? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.236.132.180 ( talk) 03:12, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
I'd Really like to see a reference for this claim. I hypothesized that this could happen when I first heard of plans for this album, but I don't know if any other death metal has done better. - Verdatum ( talk) 02:16, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
