I changed the statement "for being Hilary Clinton" since that tells readers basically nothing. It is worth noting that the crowd may have disliked her. -- Jtalledo (talk) 03:35, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

I added the tag at the top and deleted the link to the Rolling Stones mag, as the link didn't mention anything about this concert. Maybe we can cite the magazine itself Pnkrockr 16:33, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Image:ConcertforNYC.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This article mentions how much money was raised but gives no indication of how the funds were disbursed. Did it go to the families of the fallen police and firemen? The families of other victims? MovieMadness ( talk) 16:23, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

No mention of this Queens firefighter who issued an invitation to Osama to kiss his butt? I would think that would garner mention, especially in the audience reaction section. I find it hard to believe that no credible source discussed it, especially in light of the crash in November 2001 that made people think it was a retalliation (but it wasn't). Still seems notable. Something needs to be said about Sony's aggressive blocking of all youtube and other clips of this, including, but not limited to, The Who's own web site. This was a CHARITY event. Sony is aggressively profiting from this concert that was intended to honor so many brave men and women who died valiantly on that day. It is, in my opinion, despicable. My suggestion is "Sony Music Entertainment (SME) have an aggressive campaign to assure that no clips of this charity concert are available to anyone, including those who participated, those who benefited and those who attended without paying for the entire concert. The artists participated for free. The only people who are benefiting from this policy are the Sony shareholders. 216.167.244.25 ( talk) 02:15, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Ric Burns and Christian Charles are listed as having contributed short films to the broadcast, but their films aren't listed in the chronological lineup. Did they air separately or as part of a later broadcast? Were they only included on the later DVD release? This information is missing. Also, Ric Burns' film is listed as being "New York: A Documentary Film", which is also the name of his 17hr PBS documentary series - what is the relationship between that series and the short listed here? I've added citation needed tags to these shorts. - Forty.4 ( talk) 01:23, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
