This movie is NOT a loose adaptation of The Magus. The only similarity between the two is that both have Nazis in them. The reference offered
[1] doesn't mention Fowles' book, other sites
[2][3] clearly take their info from Wikipedia. The only real mention of the Magus comes from an interview with Brady Corbet
[4], and all he says that it is one of the many literary references: "There’s about a hundred pages in The Magus, where you’re dealing with a sort of Nazi infiltration on the island." I am removing mentions of The Magus from the article. --
