Commenters at this article's feedback page want to know if the second and third place winners recieved a prize, and if so, what the amount of money was. Can someone who watched the episode provide this information? Nick1372 ( talk) 16:04, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
I have no idea why this information gets removed. Both are basically another iteration of the same show, which is the The Great British Bake Off. Hzh ( talk) 13:14, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
Returning to what matters, the edit as it originally stood was factually incorrect. The ABC production was not a remake of this show. It was an adaptation of the British original with a holiday theme. It's also tenuously connected to this show at best, and really doesn't belong in the article per WP:TRIVIA. However, given the editor's need to have his way and willingness to edit war to force an edit, and his lack of willingness to discuss the edit (preferring instead to analyze my motives and grind old axes), I've tried to make it work in the article. I've moved it from the lede, since it's not about this show, and added it to production, with some revision that at least makes comparisons between the two shows. It's not particularly notable, but at least it fits now. -- Drmargi ( talk) 20:22, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
Assume that a new page is coming for the newest variant, Great American Baking Show (2016). It premiered on Dec 1 on ABC, with Mary Berry again, joined by Johnny Iuzzini as co-judge, and Nia Vardalos and Ian Gomez as hosts. It has a similar format, with a signature bake (bake a favorite recipe), technical bake, (all bake the same thing using ingredients provided and a scant recipe), and showstopper bake -- several variations (color, flavor, filling, etc.) blended artistically and with wow. Winners and losers are judged by overall success in the three bakes.
Episode one and two showed the premier week, with week one being cakes and week two cookies. In episode two, a contestant left the show midway along for a family emergency; came here seeking an update on that family's condition.

I'm creating a stub for The Great American Baking Show. I agree they're separate series, but there needs to be a reference in this article to the new series. -- Zanimum ( talk)
