Was hoping the article would include information about the former businesses on the site. I believe the night club Spirit was formerly located in the same place. [1] If someone could confirm that and ideally provide a better citation it could be added to the article. I am unsure if the "Hot Press Irish Music Hall of Fame" was also at the same location but again with confirmation that might be worth adding a line or two about. [2]
As of December 2008 the article for Abbey Street lists both those venues as being on Abbey Street but without providing any street number or mention if the businesses are still there.
The history page from the web site of the Lighthouse cinema (formerly Curzon Cinema) says it was located on Middle Abbey Street but the connection to Arnotts suggests the Lighthouse was not in the same venue as the Acadamy but on opposite side of the road in a location that was demolished to make more room for Arnotts. [3].
